The Monkey's Paw

   It was cald and dark out in the road and the rain did not stop for a minute. But in the little living-room of number 12 Castle Road it was nice and warm. (p.1)

　The family in this story made wishes for the monkey's paw. But this paw had strange pawer so they are sacrificed instead of coming true their wishes. I thought that this story tells us not good to have many desires. I was surprised that their son was dead but their parents got some money due to his trouble. And the amount of this money, was the same as they wished forehand. This story was interesting but also cruel.

A Little Princess

   That evening, in the little attic room, Sara sat on the bed in her old black dress. She did not cry, but her face was white and she did not move or speak for hours. (p.16) 

  Sara Crewe is a very rich little girl. She first comes to England when she is seven, and her father takes her to Miss Minchin's school in London. Then he goes to back his work in India.
  I learned that it is very important that we have contact with other people equally regardless of the identity. And there is a happiness which cannot buy money. So I thought that the rich are not always happy.
